Cattle in a barn being handled

Compliance, wherever you farm.

Movement reporting and traceability are built into the daily workflow, whichever national scheme you answer to. The UK Livestock Information Service is our deepest integration: LIS replaces CTS in England, and we're ready for every step of the transition.

Movement and traceability compliance for LIS (UK), CLTS (Canada), NLIS (Australia) and NAIT (New Zealand). This page covers the UK Livestock Information Service integration.

Common questions

The questions we hear most, answered straight.

Does Agrianta submit movements to the Livestock Information Service for me?

Yes, Agrianta connects directly to the UK Government LIS over a secure OAuth link, so on-farm births, deaths and movements are submitted with the correct holding numbers and dates. You can import your existing herd from LIS and keep records in sync as animals move on and off your holding, rather than re-keying everything by hand. LIS is the deepest integration here: it replaces CTS in England, and the workflow is ready for each step of that transition.

Which species and national schemes are covered?

Cattle, sheep, goats, deer and pigs are all supported, with species-specific rules and tag formats handled automatically rather than left to you. On movement and traceability, the UK Livestock Information Service is the deepest integration, and the same daily workflow also serves CLTS in Canada, NLIS in Australia and NAIT in New Zealand. Canadian farms get CCIA integration as well, so whichever scheme you answer to, the recording happens once.

Will my medicine records hold up at an inspection?

Yes, every veterinary treatment, medicine and withdrawal period is logged automatically with timestamps and the right compliance tags, building a VMD-compliant medicine book as you work. You can export it as JSON, CSV or PDF, and built-in validation flags missing information before audit time rather than on the day. There is a full audit trail for every record and every change, and the record-keeping supports assurance scheme requirements including Red Tractor.

Can I trace a medicine batch back to the animals if there's a recall?

Yes, you can search any medicine batch number instantly across every record and see every animal treated from it, with the dose and date for each. From there you can check the current withdrawal status for the whole batch and generate a full traceability report as a PDF with one click. That turns a recall or audit query from a day of paperwork into a quick lookup, with the evidence formatted ready for an inspector.

Do I have to keep separate books for compliance and accounts?

No, the point is that you keep one set of records, not two. Daily activities, treatments and observations feed straight into audit-ready reports, and inventory tracks medicines, chemicals and feed with batch numbers, expiry dates and low-stock alerts as part of the same workflow. For the books, you can export to Xero, QuickBooks or Sage in CSV or JSON, so the financial side draws on the same data rather than a parallel spreadsheet.

Try it on your own herd.

Thirty days, every module on. You won't be charged until your trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.
